Internet Cafè and Hotspot Software : Workstation Management

All the network workstations can be monitored from Workstations section of the Main Window. There is a box for each computer with its name and status. There is also a tabular display with a line for each workstation. A workstation can have one of three statuses: connected, not connected and not enabled. In the first case, the workstation's name will be displayed in red (workstation busy) and connection data (user, time and balance) will be displayed in the box. In the second case (work station not connected), the workstation's name will be displayed in green to indicate that it is free and, finally, in the case of a workstation not enabled, the computer's name will be displayed on a gray background to indicate that the workstation is not usable. For more information about enabling workstations, see Preferences.
The computers connected by Wi-Fi to the Hotspot are shown in a similar way to the wired workstations, except that the IP address appears instead of the name of the computer (e.g. 192.168.1.100)

Right-clicking the mouse on a workstation, or clicking the Workstations button, opens a menu of all the possible operations on workstations:

New Navigation Session : allows the creation of new “Navigate and Pay” users on the selected workstation. After starting a new session with this option, users can use the workstation to start their navigation session without having to enter their name and password.

Terminate the selected session: clicking this item terminates the session on the selected workstation. This function is used to close sessions that have been accidentally left open or to forcibly disconnect a customer.

Terminate all sessions: as above, but closes all open sessions on all workstations.

Message to the selected workstation: sends a message to the user connected to the workstation and opens a chat session.

Message to all workstations: sends a message to all connected users.

Enables and Disables the selected workstation: these are the same functions for enabling and disabling a workstation that are found in the Enabling Workstations section under Preferences

Restart or Turn Off the selected workstation: executes a Windows Restart or Turns Off the computer of the selected workstation.

Restart or Turn Off all workstations: as above, but for all workstations. This function is especially useful when closing the premises because it avoids having to manually turn off all the computers.
