Hotspot, Call Shop and Cyber Café Software : Installing and Changing a VoIP carrier

The parameters contained in this window allow you to specify the account data for your VoIP service provider.

You must specify the following data :

Name of carrier: the name of the VoIP carrier (e.g. Cheapnet).

Default carrier: indicates whether the carrier in question is the default carrier.

SIP: the address of your SIP carrier's server proxy (e.g. sip.cheapnet.it)

Port: the port on which the server proxy services requests. In the majority of cases SIP protocol uses port 5060.

Username and password: the access data for your SIP account.

As an option, you can also specify the rates the VoIP carrier applies for calls to various countries.

For the tables in this window you will need to specify the cost of a minute's connection and any connection charge for the various international prefixes. These data can also be imported or exported in CSV format (data separated by commas).

These rates are fundamentally important if you want to use minimum cost routing for calls in the telephone rates or if you want to run statistical and economic analyses on call profits. These profits are in fact determined based on the difference between the cost charged to your customers (specified in Telephone rates) and those your carrier applies to you (costs entered in this window).
