A navigation (or telephone) session can be started up on a workstation in two different ways based on the type of workstation.

• Direct user start-up : this is the most frequent case which exclusively applies to navigation workstations (wired or WI-FI). The user goes to the workstation, enters his/her access credentials and begins navigating.

• Manual start-up : certain workstations, like telephones for example, do not allow the user to enter his/her access data (login and password). In this case, the operator must manually start the workstation using the "Start a new session" function in the Workstation Monitor or menu of the same name. Manual start-up is also possible for wired navigation workstations and is useful, for example, when the customer forgets his/her access data.
