The following improvements have been made to version 4 of Softvision Explorer:

Explorer Manager 4

• Separation of the server into two modules: the Explorer Server engine itself (executed as a Windows service) and the Explorer Manager administrative program.

• Option of running Explorer Manager on computers other than the server.

• Unregistered "Surf and Pay" Users

• Access through Pre-Paid Tickets

• Registration Via Web

• Automatic addition (with request for confirmation) of a program to the list of allowed applications.

• Favourite sites and Home Page pre-defined at the Group level

• Possibility of specifying the Rate Plan and Group of a station independently of the user that is logging in.

• Verification of users with the same name

• User Notices: possibility of sending a message to the user on login, or at other times, and setting this message as the background.

• Periodic change of the Explorer Manager access password and definition of the characteristics of each password.

• Possibility of displaying the name of the user that made a recharge also in the window for managing pre-paid recharges.

• Statistics about the number of customers (unique accesses).

• Statistics about the number of registered customers.

• History statistics about the applications executed and those whose execution was attempted.

• Statistics about the destinations of telephone calls.

• Planned Operations: complete/partial backup, images, compacting, clean-up, function ON/OFF, stations ON/OFF, sending notices, closing old sessions, alignment procedures and execution of SQL commands.

• Backup: automatic elimination of old backups

• Alignment of user parameters: possibility of saving and recalling sets of parameters.

• Filters for displaying users: name, surname, rate plan, connection, balance, group, permissions and surfing modes.

• Possibility of editing the amount to the paid for post-paid connections.

• Fields necessary registering users configurable at will.

• Printing and acceptance of the Conditions of Use from both fixed and Wi-Fi stations.

• System for recovering operator passwords

Explorer Client 4

The following improvements were added to the client side:

• Kiosk Mode

• Possibility of using the Desktop

• Clock on the application bar

• Optional presence of "Favourites" in the menu of the Client

• Aesthetic improvements to the login screen

• Possibility of access only using pre-paid tickets

• Request erasure of the User Drive with flag "always use this choice";

• Information pop-up on logout
